*EDIT He's SOLD! I didn't even have time to link his Etsy link to this page! But here it is anyways!: [link] If you'd like something similiar feel free to send me a note!
To me oriental dragons have always represented good luck beasties that share their treasures with anyone who happens to find them. This little guy is offering up a sphere he created of some rare metal he found in the earth.
Will be up for adoption in my Etsy shop soon. If you are interested in a commission send me a message or visit my shop: [link]
Made of polymer clay, handpainted with acrylics. Also film and wire wings, glazed and embedded with micro beads and tiny glass bubbles.
I've lost my ruler but he seems approx. 5 inches tall ^^'
I've never really said much about how much time I spend on sculptures but this guy seems like a perfect example. Sculpting: 1 day combined time Body painting: 1 day combined time Eye painting/glazing: about 2 hours Making, glazing of wings: 30 minutes to make, 10 minutes to glaze and embed micro beads x 4: 40 minutes And... I completely forgot about how long it took to make the foil and wire armature, at least 2 hours. And I don't know about all of the other little details, I lose track of time!!!!!
